Humane Care Training Program
Since 1877, American Humane Association has been a pioneer in the humane care of farm animals and has been actively involved in finding solutions to achieve this goal. Now for the first time there is a truly innovative science-based training program for the humane care of laying hens. This Humane Care Training Program™ was developed under the guidance of independent animal scientists and leaders in farm animal care and husbandry. The key benefit of this program is the consistent and comprehensive training in humane care and handling by everyone involved, including managers, employees, government and oversight organizations, as well as students.
The core training session is offered in an actual classroom setting. There is also a separate hands-on in-barn class that is required to complete the training, and to receive a graduation certificate.

In-Barn Training
An Industry expert will lead students in hands-on training of key issues related to the humane care and handling of animals in an actual barn setting at various convenient locations. This program takes approximately 4 hours to complete.
